The SONIX antenna is a very small outdoor antenna with a built-in amplifier.

Its dimensions are 10cm x 40cm and its weight is 120gr.

The antenna is designed for installation on the rooftop of a building or house, mounted securely on a mast. When placed indoors, it operates as a high-performance indoor antenna. When installed at an elevated position on a rooftop mast, it can deliver reception performance comparable to that of a setup consisting of three medium-gain antennas combined with a signal amplifier. This provides a significant advantage by achieving strong reception while eliminating the bulk and complexity of multiple antennas. However, it is important to note that the antenna cannot surpass physical reception limitations in challenging areas. If a location is known to experience persistent signal issues—where even two or three conventional antennas with an amplifier fail to receive certain channels—the SONIX antenna will not resolve these reception gaps either. Its benefit lies in its compact, streamlined design, not in exceeding the capabilities of specialized multi-antenna installations. In extremely difficult reception environments where advanced, specialized antennas are required, the SONIX antenna is not recommended.

The SONIX antenna is wideband and delivers excellent performance across all VHF and UHF bands and all channels. In general, it should be oriented toward the main transmitter. If there is a second transmitter located in the opposite direction, the SONIX antenna is capable of receiving it from its rear side.

Its circuitry is metal-shielded, and the plastic components are of very high quality, making the antenna resistant to all extreme weather conditions. The packaging is also excellent. The antenna’s power supply is included inside the box. In addition, detailed installation instructions are provided, allowing even a very inexperienced user to set it up on their own.

The SONIX antenna is designed for individual use. Multiple SONIX antennas can be installed on the same mast to serve additional apartments. At the output of the power supply, an antenna “T-splitter” can also be used to distribute the signal to two or even three televisions. Additionally, signal for two televisions can be taken directly from the mast where the antenna is mounted by using a mast-mounted splitter.

 OPTIMAL PERFORMANCE INSTRUCTIONS
  • For optimal performance, the antenna should be installed at a height of 3 meters on a mast, either on the rooftop or on the roof, to avoid obstacles and have a direct line of sight to the transmitters.
  • Ensure that no large, old antennas are present on the same mast where the SONIX antenna will be installed.
  • Use new, high-quality coaxial cable, preferably a single continuous piece without cuts or joints.
